It is designed (like most RV vents) to fit a 14-1/4 inch x 14-1/4 inch rough opening, but will work just fine on your 14-1/2 inch opening. The 4-1/2 inch garnish that's included can also be trimmed down to better fit your 1-3/4 inch thick ceiling.

I confirmed with my contact at Dexter Axle that the grease zerk used in their EZ Lube spindles like # TRU74FR is a standard 1/4-inch pipe thread fitting that you can replace with an item like # Gzerk. To pick out the correct one you'd need to measure the width of your slide out now including the flange and then check out the link I attached that shows all of the ones we carry. You will select your flange width and the correct fitting slide toppers will be listed. We don't have a way to look up what your Jayco has.
